Crystal Joyce


Crystal Joyce began her dance training at the young age of three at LeAnne Leslie’s School of Theatrical Dance where she later became a company member. She also trained with the Marblehead School of Ballet under Paula Schiff, Boston Conservatory, and Jeannette Neill’s in Boston, MA.

Crystal received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Dance from Dean College in 2004 where she had extensive training under well known dance educators including Jill Silverman, Nailah Bellinger, and Jeffrey Polston. At Dean, she was a featured dancer with the Dean Dance Company for three years as well as performing in many student choreography shows. She was also the recipient of the Beryl Martin Memorial Scholarship in recognition of her accomplishments in Dance and Theater.

Crystal also has a background in musical theatre and has been in shows such as 42nd Street, Footloose, and had the lead role of “Cassie” in A Chorus Line. Crystal has performed many times in the Greater Boston area including performing at the Boston World Trade Center as a back-up dancer for Isaac Hayes.

Crystal is a licensed Zumba Instructor, and has been nationally certified in group exercise through AFAA as well as CPR certified.

Crystal has been teaching dance for 20+ years and has taught and choreographed for many schools, Cheerleading squads, and theatre companies. She has received many awards for her choreography in dance. Crystal’s passion in life is the art of dance, and to share and teach this beautiful art brings her the most joy. Crystal is proud to be entering the studio’s 9th year of offering dance education to the North Shore community, and is looking forward to another wonderful year with her students!
